Faerie Blood

Stuff on sale! Faerie Blood! Bone Walker Soundtrack! Other NIWA titles!

So a bunch of us in NIWA thought, hey, wouldn’t it be awesome if we banded together and put several of our books on sale for 99 cents? We are doing exactly that.

Me, I’ve put Faerie Blood on sale for 99 cents for the entire month of June in honor of this, and also because I CAN. This price will be valid until the end of the month. As always, all of the official links to buy this book are on the Faerie Blood page!

HOWEVER: several other NIWA-author titles will ALSO be on sale for 99 cents, for a narrower window of time, from the 12th until the 15th! We have a Facebook event describing this and which titles are participating! (If you’re not on Facebook, worry not–this is a publicly readable event so you should still be able to see the book list even if you’re not a Facebook user.) So keep an eye on that link, because more titles are getting added to it over the next several days. Be poised with your wallets to snap up all these nifty deals on the 12th, won’t you?

And in the meantime, Dara’s also jumped in on this tasty sale action. She’s set up a discount download code of “niwa” for anybody who’d like to snag a digital download of the Bone Walker soundtrack for 40 percent off! And as always, the soundtrack can be scarfed directly from Bandcamp.

ALSO! Although this is not actually part of the sale, don’t forget, the short story “The Blood of the Land” is also available for pennies. If you go to Smashwords, you can grab it for any price YOU choose, including free. Everywhere else, it’s 99 cents, and that will be the story’s permanent official price.

Spread the word, everybody!

Spring sales, because I CAN!

The good folks of NIWA are gearing up to do a special promotional sale of assorted NIWA titles in mid-June, so a) to jump the gun on this a bit, and b) just because SURE WHY NOT, I’ve put Faerie Blood back on sale for 99 cents on all places where it’s sold. So if by chance you haven’t snapped it up yet, you have another shot at doing so very cheaply! And if you HAVE already snapped it up, spread the word, won’t you?

Appropriate purchase links as always are on the official Faerie Blood page, but here are the major ones:

Amazon | Nook | iBooks | Kobo | Smashwords | Google Play

And while we’re on the topic of stuff of mine you can get for nice tasty low prices, don’t forget, the short story “The Blood of the Land” is ALSO available for 99 cents through most major retailers–but if you go to Smashwords, YOU can set the price, and that includes FREE. Here are those links too!

Amazon | Nook | Smashwords | Kobo | Google Play

All the rest of my titles are currently available for $2.99, including Bone Walker and all three of the Rebels of Adalonia books. You can fill up your ereader with my stuff for less than a trade paperback!

Bone Walker, Faerie Blood, Victory of the Hawk

Norwescon is IMMINENT so here, have some Smashwords coupons

Dara and I will be heading to Norwescon tomorrow! Yay!

Y’all will be able to find me at the NIWA table in the dealers’ room, where I and several other members of the group will be joining forces to sell our books. I’ll have print copies of both Faerie Blood AND Bone Walker, so if you’re local and you don’t have the books yet and you want ’em, this will be an excellent time to get copies!

I will also be selling copies of the Free Court of Seattle Soundtrack CD on Dara’s behalf, so if you really want to make a fell swoop of it, you’ll be able to get both books and the CD all at the same time!

ALSO: for the digitally inclined, I have activated two 20 percent off coupons you can use to buy both books from Smashwords in DRM-free format!

The coupon code for Faerie Blood is ZS73N, and you can spend it here.

Likewise, the coupon code for Bone Walker is TA27R, and you can spend it here.

These coupon codes will expire on Monday the 6th, so use ’em now while the using is good! And if you’ve got the books already, please share the word of these coupons far and wide. Thank you!

Speaking of Bone Walker: Dara has now provided me with the official PDF copy of the book. If you prefer to read your ebooks in PDF format, I will be happy to hand-sell this version of the book to you. Directly from me is currently the only way to get this format, so if you’d like a PDF copy (and you’re not one of the Kickstarter backers who already got one), talk to me! And see the Buying From Me page for details on how to pay me for it.

MEANWHILE: friendly reminder that Victory of the Hawk is REALLY FREGGIN’ NIGH. Monday the 6th is ALSO important because that’s Victory‘s release date!

AND: you can now preorder the book directly from Carina Press right over here. I do get slightly more royalties for books purchased directly from Carina. BUT, don’t let that stop you from buying from the vendor of your choice, either–basically, I want you to buy the book, so do please buy it in whatever way is easiest for you! 😉

All preorder links I’m currently aware of are on the official Victory of the Hawk page!

One more thing: in case you missed it, the Here Be Magic author group I’m in has been posting our snippets of flash fiction based on submitted words from readers! You can find mine, a brand new Warder universe scene, right over here. Clickie to see what words I got for the March Melange, and how I used them.

And go check the blog for other fun scenes as well!

This ends my Wednesday book promotional post. 🙂

Bone Walker, Faerie Blood, Valor of the Healer

Meanwhile, for those of you on Scribd or Oyster

Smashwords deploys to both Scribd and Oyster, so if you subscribe to either of those services, you can find the Free Court of Seattle books there! Here are the links, which will be added to the books’ pages:

Faerie Blood:

Scribd | Oyster

Bone Walker:

Scribd | Oyster

On a related note, Harlequin has begun experimenting with putting material on Scribd as well. So if you’re a subscriber there you can ALSO read Valor of the Healer! The link for that is here and will be added to Valor‘s page as well.

Scribd does not yet have Vengeance of the Hunter, but they might pick it up if Valor shows some activity. So if you or any of your friends use the service, consider sharing the link around, mmkay? I will get paid for reads of the books on these services!

Updates to Faerie Blood and Bone Walker pages!

FYI to all:

Since I am moving over to using Smashwords to deploy Faerie Blood and Bone Walker out to B&N, Kobo, and iBooks, this means the purchase links for the books at these locations are changing.

I have new viable links for both books at B&N and iBooks, and both of their pages have been updated accordingly. Kobo has a new working link for Bone Walker, but Faerie Blood‘s new link hasn’t shown up yet in their system; once it does, I’ll update the FB page with that, too.

All new links I have are now in place on the Faerie Blood and Bone Walker pages, and they’re added to my full Books page as well. But the most immediately useful ones are:

Faerie Blood:

Nook | iBooks

Bone Walker:

Nook | iBooks | Kobo

ALSO of paramount interest: since Smashwords does deploy out to Overdrive, OH HEY LOOK! Bone Walker is now actually on Overdrive, which means in theory it COULD actually show up in libraries! I’m not seeing it at the two Seattle library systems, but if Overdrive has it, that means libraries can get it. So if you’re a library fan, talk to your library and ask them if they might want to consider adding the book to their digital systems.

AND! This also means that I can take advantage of Overdrive’s pretty capabilities for reading ebook samples, like I did with Valor of the Healer and Vengeance of the Hunter. I have accordingly added a link to read an excerpt of Bone Walker at Overdrive to the book’s page!

Bone Walker Kickstarter update, and other news!

As I’ve just told the backers of my 2012 Kickstarter, all owed copies of the print edition of Bone Walker have been sent out to their recipients. This is very gratifying, as it gets me that much closer to being able to finally finish off my Kickstarter obligations.

This means that the rest of the copies in my personal stock are ones I can sell, free and clear! A couple will be handed out as part of my ongoing Goodreads giveaway, which ends at the end of this month. So if you’re a Goodreads user and you’d like a crack at a free copy of the book, hop right over here and clickie! I’m offering two copies of the book to Goodreads users in the US and Canada.

ALSO: reader and supporter David is about to finish up his own giveaway for print copies of Faerie Blood and Bone Walker, as well as a copy of the soundtrack. That giveaway is in progress over here, and it ends on March 8th, so time is running out! Your chances of winning are still VERY good, so go give it a look, won’t you?

Meanwhile, the sales on the ebook editions of Faerie Blood and Bone Walker are over, and both books have reset to their $4.99 price points. But they’re still available on many major ebook vending sites, as well as directly from me! As always, links to buy are on the official Faerie Blood and Bone Walker pages.

And since the rest of my stock of copies of Bone Walker are free and clear to sell, don’t forget, you can order those directly from me (see the Buying From Me page) or buy one via the Bandcamp page!

Any questions, let me know! And as always, thank you for your support.

Bone Walker giveaway goodness!

Now that I’ve got my mitts on the first full print run for Bone Walker, in addition to all the copies I’m sending out to my patient Kickstarter backers, I can ALSO do giveaways!

So I’ve set one up on Goodreads for two copies, which will be running through to the end of March. This is open to any Goodreads users in the US and Canada–sorry, overseas folks, postage for sending individual copies of books is just too steep for me to send freebies out to people who weren’t Kickstarter backers! If you’re a US or Canadian Goodreads user, though, here’s the giveaway widget! Clickie!

ETA: putting this behind a fold because the Javascript breaks on Livejournal. If you’re reading this on LJ or Dreamwidth, the direct link for the giveaway is here!
