And now, the news!

First off, I have STUFF ON SALE! I’ve been yapping about this all weekend, and if you’re seeing this post on my site, you can probably see the text announcement I’ve got right under the top menu.

For those of you who AREN’T reading this post on my site, and who missed me yapping about it all weekend, hey, Faerie Blood is now ON SALE! 99 cents for the book, and I’m waiving shipping charges for anyone who wants to buy a print copy from me!

ALSO! Carina is putting Valor of the Healer on sale for 99 cents as well! This sale will be running through 7/19! Now would be a real good time to grab this ebook if you haven’t already–and if you’re so inclined and you want to scamper on around to read Vengeance of the Hunter, that wouldn’t suck either! Full details on that are on this post!

That’s the news for this Monday!

Valor of the Healer

Valor of the Healer is now ON SALE for 0.99!

Carina Press has now commenced the $0.99 price promotion for Valor of the Healer! Which means that if you haven’t read it yet, now would be a really good time to grab it. This promotion will be running through July 19th, so this price WILL be a limited-time offer!

As of this morning I can confirm that the price is set on all the major ebook vendors where Carina does business. So here are the links!

Carina Press | Amazon | Nook | iTunes | Kobo | Google Play

All other places you can buy the book, including international links, are on the Valor of the Healer page!

A few quick questions you may be having:

I don’t own an ereader! Can I buy the book?

If you don’t want to buy the book from any specific device ecosystem, your best bet will be to buy directly from the Carina Press site, at least if you’re in the US or Canada. (For reasons of possible problems using international payment methods, which is out of my control, apologies in advance for that!) If you’re elsewhere I recommend the Kobo link or Google Play.

However, keep in mind that you don’t need a specific ereader device in order to read ebooks. Assuming you own the computer you’re reading this post on, several of the major ebook vendors have desktop apps you can use to read their stuff. Amazon has a Kindle app, B&N has a Nook app, Apple has iBooks, and Kobo has a desktop app as well. Depending on who you buy from you may also have the ability to just read the book right on the web.

All of these vendors should also have apps available you can use to read books on your smartphone or tablet, if you have a device that falls into either category.

But I want a print edition!

Apologies, but so far my Carina titles are digital-only. If this sale does well, though, it’ll help improve the chances that Carina might decide to add me to the list of authors they put into print.

So if you’d like to see that happen, I strongly encourage you to buy the book if you haven’t already. Buy it as a gift for ebook-reading friends, if you like! And especially, spread the word.

Are other Carina titles on sale right now?

YES! Several other fantasy/sci-fi/paranormal romance titles are involved in this price promotion. Look for:

Any other questions?

Let me know!

Faerie Blood

Faerie Blood going ON SALE for 0.99!

As of right now I am putting Faerie Blood on sale for the low, low price of $0.99 USD! (And appropriate equivalents in other countries!)

It’ll take a bit for the pricing to propagate out to all the places the book’s being sold, but I’m going ahead and doing it now so that hopefully it’ll be at that price by July 1st. I’ll be running this promotion through July 31st. Most of you who know me probably have already bought the book, but if you haven’t, this’ll be a great time to snap it up. Or, for you to spread the word to friends and loved ones, if you want to help!

As of this writing the sale price is confirmed live at these US links:

Amazon | Barnes and Noble | Smashwords | Google Play | Kobo | iBooks

These are all the primary links for where you can buy the ebook version. If you’re not in the US, I’m pretty sure that the Kobo and Google Play links SHOULD redirect you to your actual locale. (If you’re on Google Play and the link doesn’t work for you, please let me know and I’ll activate a local price for you.)

All of the rest of the links for where to buy the book can be found on the Faerie Blood page!

AND–if you want to buy the book directly from me, particularly if you want the fancy PDF we made that’s laid out like the print version but also includes an extra high-res black-and-white pencil of the cover art, I will apply the .99c price to that as well. Best ways to buy from me are the same as for the print version, as I describe further down in this post.

Meanwhile, this sale will ALSO apply to my stock of print copies of the book. I have a good backlog of copies, and for the duration of this sale, I will waive ALL SHIPPING CHARGES, no matter where I might need to mail it. So if you’d like to snag a print copy of the book, talk to me about how to send me money for it, and where to send you a book! I continue to ask $15 USD for the print copies, or the appropriate equivalents for international readers. (Exception: Canadians, I’ll take straight up $15 CAD from you all, too. Because I like you, Canada. <3)

If you want to buy a print copy, the best way to get money to me is via Paypal to my gmail address, annathepiper. Alternately, I will also accept equivalent credit at Amazon US, Amazon CA, Barnes and Noble, iTunes US, iTunes CA, or Google Play. And I’m open to other places where I can buy ebooks or digital music if you want to negotiate.

SO EXCITING! Let’s see if this does anything amusing to my sales numbers. Please feel free to spread the word of this to all corners of the Net! 😀 And if you’re on Twitter, here, have some tweets you can steal to spread the word if you want!

Valor of the Healer

Who’s got the #2 slot on Carina’s Most Popular list today?

THIS GIRL!

Second Place YES B'Y

Second Place YES B’Y

I still have no idea how many copies I’ve sold so far since the release date. And for the curious, I still won’t know for a bit yet what this month’s actual sales numbers are. The only ones I can monitor in real time are the approximations provided for Amazon numbers by novelrank.com. Harlequin/Carina authors have a portal we can log into to get data, but I’m still new enough in the system that it’ll be a bit yet before any actual sales data shows up there. The site doesn’t update in real-time like the portals I use for my self-pub deployments do. I don’t expect to see any numbers there at least until the end of May, since I’m expecting royalties to occur on a quarterly basis, and it takes time to aggregate the numbers.

Still, though, this is encouraging! Whatever my actual sales numbers are, they are clearly “more than zero”! My goal with Valor is not hugely ambitious–if it performs better than Faerie Blood in sales numbers (and I’m lucky to hit two digits in any given month with Faerie Blood), that’s pretty much all I’m asking at my stage of the game. And so far things are looking good.

This does not suck. <3 Thank you to all who have bought the book so far! I hope you're enjoying it!
