About Me, Faerie Blood

Hello Norwescon!

Taking a moment to put up a post before having dinner, just to say that I’ve left assorted business cards on the freebie table and the flyer rack here at Norwescon. If anybody happens to pick one up and comes by this site to visit, hello and welcome, and I hope your convention is being awesome so far!

If you HAVE come by because of Norwescon and you’re interested in buying my book, arrange to find me before EOD on Sunday and I’ll sell you one of my small number of Faerie Blood CDs. That will get you an ePub AND a PDF of the book, both DRM-free, along with a free short story, “The Disenchanting of Princess Cerridwen”. I’m offering Norwescon attendees a special price of $5 per disk!

So say hi if you are at the con and you see this, and tell me how your con is going! Better yet, find me and do it in person. 🙂

Faerie Blood, Short Pieces

Raising money for Japan relief efforts

Okay, folks, here’s the deal:

Like most of the rest of the world, my heart aches for what’s going on in Japan. As an American there’s not much I can do from here–but what I can do is donate my money, which I have already done. But as a writer, I can also donate what tiny profits I get from my labors. And I’d really like to do this. So here’s a few things I’m going to do.

One: I have six, count ’em, six Lightscribe CDs left over of the discs I made of Faerie Blood, with the additional free story “The Disenchanting of Princess Cerridwen”, back in the fall of last year. Same price as before ($8 to local persons, $10 if I need to mail the disc to you), but I will donate 100 percent of that price to Doctors Without Borders so that they can do what they need to do.

I have four of these left in green cases and two in yellow. First come first serve. If more than six people are interested, I will burn more copies of the same disc and offer you your choice of case color.

Two: If at least twenty people are interested, I will do a commissioned short story in the Faerie Blood universe, 8-10 thousand words, and it will star Kendis’ kitsune housemate Jake, who is Japanese-American. It will likely feature his meeting and romance of his future partner Carson.

As with the CDs, I will donate 100 percent of any money raised to Doctors Without Borders. I won’t set a hard price; let’s call this a Pay What You Think It’s Worth effort. If people would like to buy in on this, I’m going to set a deadline of letting me know to be two weeks from today, March 28th. And I will commit to delivering the story by the end of April.

If you want to work with me on either option One or option Two, I can take Paypal at my pro gmail address, angela.korrati. If you’re not Paypal-enabled, talk to me offline and we can talk about arrangements to send a check or money order and a proper receipt in exchange by snailmail.

If neither of these options appeal, I wholeheartedly encourage you to please, please, PLEASE find a charity of your choice and donate what you can to those relief efforts. And if you would, please consider spreading the word of these two offers through whatever channels you have at your disposal. Thanks all.

Faerie Blood for the nook!

I’ve been nudging my editor and her staff about this for a while now–and am pleased to report that at last, Faerie Blood is available for purchase for the nook!

In fact, we have considerably more titles available on B&N’s site now, so I encourage all my fellow nook owners to check our titles out and see if any are to your tastes! (Chocolatier’s Wife. C’mon, with a tasty title like that on Valentine’s Day fer chrissakes, you know you wanna…)

FB’s info page has had this link added. Spread the nookity love, y’all!

Defiance, Drollerie Press, Faerie Blood

Drollerie store live again!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled ability to buy Faerie Blood and Defiance on their native turf, already in progress! My editor’s put a nice top-level link right into the store on the DP site now, so it should be easy to find if you’re coming in off the homepage as well. Have at, folks, and do let me know if you have any issues purchasing either book.

Offer still stands on the CDs, though! 😉

Drollerie Press store is broken, apologies all

Over the weekend, I found out from fellow author Tia Nevitt, who was trying to buy Faerie Blood, that our store at Drollerie Press had fallen over hard. We are still unfortunately undergoing technical difficulties. My editor userinfoserasempre and the rest of the DP staff have been working hard to get us back up and running, and I’ll be pitching in some technical assistance as well as work to get the new store re-stocked with Drollerie books.

Unfortunately though this means in the meantime that if you’d like to buy Faerie Blood or Defiance, the DP store is not available to do so. Many apologies for the inconvenience, folks!

In the meantime I would recommend that if you’d like to buy Faerie Blood, my best recommendations on where to get it are Amazon for Kindle users, and Fictionwise or Scribd for non-Kindle users (and those latter two links should be DRM-free as well as far as I know).

Defiance is also available at Amazon and at Scribd.

And, if all else fails, I still have a small number of CDs with Faerie Blood on them that I’d made for the reading I attended last fall. I’ll still be happy to sell those to interested parties, $8 if you’re local to me and I can hand-deliver you the disc, or $10 if you’re non-local!

Watch this space for further news. I’ll post again when the DP store lives!

Faerie Blood

Eight Faerie Blood CDs available

I have eight of the Lightscribe CDs of Faerie Blood left over from my August 21st reading. If any of you all out there might be interested in taking them off my hands, please let me know!

On the CD you’ll find both the epub AND pdf versions of the book, along with a short Readme file telling you how to read either one and which you should use depending on your needs. There’s also a pdf copy of my short story “The Disenchanting of Princess Cerridwen”, included as a bonus.

The discs themselves are Lightscribe CDs and show Kendis’ face, a small bit taken from the book’s cover art. I will include a color printed insert and sign that upon request! (Or I will sign the disc itself.) The jewel cases the discs are currently in are either green or yellow, to match the cover art. I have more green available than yellow but will also swap out to red, blue, or purple on request as I have several spare cases in those colors.

If you’re local to me and I can hand-deliver you the disc and its jewel case, the price is eight dollars. If you’re not local, the price is ten dollars, to include the price of postage.

For payment, if you’re interested, please send the specified amount to my gmail address, annathepiper, via Paypal. Or talk to me in private about alternate payment methods, as well as arrangements to get you the disc.

I have no immediate plans to make more of these CDs, so get them while supplies last!
