Faerie Blood and Bone Walker back on sale for 99 cents

I was going to hold off on this until July 1st, because Westercon and Clallam Bay Comicon are coming. But this week has been a trashfire of suckage, so screw it, I’m starting the sale early!

To wit: Faerie Blood and Bone Walker are now back on sale in digital form for 99 cents each. Price applies on all platforms where those books are sold, including “buying directly from me”. All links where the books are available are on their official pages; just click over to Faerie Blood or Bone Walker and look for the Buy button towards the top of each page, or go to my Square store!

If you want go pay me directly without going through any other channel, you can also pay me at my Paypal.me link.

These prices will be in effect until July 16th, one month from today. Spread the word if you are so inclined, and thanks as always for your support!

Periodic reminder post: best ways to buy my indie titles

I’ve had a friend and reader contact me about buying print copies of Faerie Blood and Bone Walker, and in the process of this, she wanted to specifically know how best to buy books from me to get me the maximum amount of money. So since I periodically do get asked about this, here’s a reminder post!

If you want the print copies of Faerie Blood and Bone Walker

Your only option for getting those books is pretty much “buy them from me”. The best way to maximize the amount of money I get for them is to buy them from me in person, which will have the added bonus of getting you a discount on the price. You won’t have to pay for shipping, AND I knock a couple bucks off the price when I sell the books in person.

I show up at Seattle-area conventions at least three or four times a year, and it’s a safe bet that if I’m at a con, I WILL have books with me to sell. I’ve been working tables with fellow authors in dealers’ rooms at cons a lot the last couple years, so your chances are good at finding me doing that. But even if I’m not working a table, if you want to drop me a line and say “HEY ANNA! I’m going to be at the next Orycon/Norwescon/etc., can you bring me a couple books so I can buy them from you?”, I will be delighted to do that.

I will usually publicize my convention attending a few months in advance, so watch this blog or my social media accounts for updates on where to find me.

I can also usually be found at Quebecois trad music events in the Seattle area, and sometimes in BC as well. So if you know you’ll see me at oh, say, a forthcoming Le Vent du Nord concert, or the next Festival du Bois, or whatever, same thing applies: make arrangements with me and I’ll be happy to bring you a book or two.

If you’re NOT likely to see me in person any time soon, order print books from me. This will mean the books will be slightly more expensive, yes, because shipping. But this will also mean that you have a few more options as to how to pay me.

If you are in the US, you can use my Square store. Note that I do include a print bundle on the Square store which will get you a bit of a discount if you buy Faerie Blood and Bone Walker together.

If you are NOT in the US, you should use the Bandcamp pages Dara set up for the books, which are here for Faerie Blood and here for Bone Walker.

Note that both Square and Bandcamp will take cuts of the sales, but on the other hand, you can also use credit cards on both of those sites, which gives you more ways by which to pay me.

If you want to maximize the amount of money I get, though, you can just also Paypal me the money. Also, if you’re in Canada, I can take payments by Interac since Dara and I maintain a Canadian bank account (since we’re up there a lot). Talk to me to make arrangements for either of these.

If you want ebook copies of Faerie Blood and Bone Walker

As with the print copies, buying directly from me WILL mean I get a little bit more money. My indie ebooks are listed on my Square store, so you can go there to order those books from me, with the added bonus of specifying what format of book you want. (This is the best way to, say, get the PDFs of the two books if you happen to like PDFs. And also: note that my short stories are also available on the Square store.)

And, you can also Paypal me or Interac me as with the print books.

However, let me also note that if you are a digital reader, and you happen to read most of your books via a particular ebook system, I am also totally cool with you buying my titles via whatever system you usually use to get your ebooks. If you’re a Kindle person, by all means, buy ’em via Amazon. If you’re an Apple person, get ’em on iBooks. Or if you’re an Android user, I AM on Google Play.

And while those sites will take their cuts of my sales, it’s also useful to have sales on those sites as well–because it makes the books a bit more visible, and raises the chances of their being seen by other readers who might also want them. And that is also a valuable thing for an indie author like myself.

For more data, you can also always check my FAQ and the Buying From Me page. And you’re always welcome to Contact me if you have any questions!

In honor of Norwescon, latest Faerie Blood and Bone Walker sale!

Norwescon is next week and I’ll be there selling the print editions of Faerie Blood and Bone Walker, as well as the Bone Walker soundtrack CD! And as I usually do when I’m going to be at a convention, the ebook editions of Faerie Blood and Bone Walker will ALSO be on sale. I’ve punted the prices down on each to 99 cents!

These prices will be in effect through the end of March, and apply to the major ebook vendors where I sell as well as to my Square marketplace. As always, here are the major places you can buy both books:

Faerie Blood: Amazon | Nook | iBooks | Kobo | Smashwords | Google Play | Square

Bone Walker: Amazon | Nook | iBooks | Kobo | Smashwords | Google Play | Square

If you choose to buy the book from the Square store, please note that there are two prices available on those pages, so choose the sale price! Also, if you want to buy from Kobo or B&N or iBooks, give it a day or two if you don’t see the 99 cent price point. It may take those sites a bit to catch up.

Please spread the word!

Periodic reminder: How to buy my books

I get asked about this every so often, so here’s a reminder of what books I have, and how to buy them!

Faerie Blood and Bone Walker are both available in print and in ebook form. You can order the print copies via my Square store, via the Bandcamp merch pages set up for them, or via the various ways you can pay me directly. Note also that these are my only two books currently available in print. If you want something from me in print form, these are the titles to get.

Faerie Blood and Bone Walker are both also available wherever I sell ebooks, which currently includes Amazon, Kobo, iBooks, Nook, Google Play, and Smashwords. All places you can buy the ebooks are linked to on the books’ official pages, although you can also just buy them directly from me, like you can the print copies. Best way to do that is via my Square store.

The print editions of these books are $15 each if I’m selling them to you directly, $17 if I need to mail. I also ask for cost of shipping. The ebooks are $2.99 each. See my Buying From Me page for what to do if you’d like to buy things from me directly. Otherwise, look at the Faerie Blood and Bone Walker official pages for where all you can buy the books.

Valor of the Healer, Vengeance of the Hunter, and Victory of the Hawk are all available digitally wherever ebooks are sold. Worldwide, your best best for where to buy them is straight off of the official Carina Press site. I get slightly more of a royalty for purchases directly from Carina. However, you can also find the titles on Amazon, Kobo, iBooks, Nook, and Google Play.

The Rebels books are not available in print. If you’d like them to be so, the best way to make that happen is to buy the ebooks and demonstrate to Carina that the sales numbers warrant it. If you have the Rebels books already, consider buying them for friends!

The ebooks of the Rebels trilogy are all $2.99 apiece, although prices may periodically vary if one or more of the ebook selling sites decides to do a special. (But they don’t warn me about that in advance!)

ALSO: Valor of the Healer is the only title of the Rebels books that also has an audiobook. You can find the links to where to buy the audiobook on Valor’s official page. If you’re an audiobook fan and you’d like to see Vengeance and Victory get audio versions, again, buy the first one and show Carina there’s a demand for it!

Any questions? Let me know!

FYI: Inventory updated on my Square store

I’m getting a book order ready to mail out tonight, and so I have needed to take the time to make sure my Square storefront is up to date. I have updated the prices of my Faerie Blood and Bone Walker ebooks back to $2.99 there. Also, for anyone who might be interested in purchasing books directly from me, I currently have the following in my personal stock:

24 print copies of Faerie Blood
19 print copies of Bone Walker
10 remaining Faerie Blood ebook bundle CDs, which include ebook editions of both the first and second editions of the book

A few folks have actually bought things off my Square store lately, so many thanks to those who have done so!

The Square storefront is here, and I note as well that it includes a bundle deal for both of the print books for $25 total. In other words, if you buy them together, I will cut you a discount. (Shipping costs still apply, though!)

You can buy the ebooks directly from me on the Square storefront as well–at least, my ebooks that are indie-published. The Carina Press ones are, of course, sold by Carina Press.

Also note: the Square storefront is most useful for ordering the print copies if you’re within the US. If you’re outside the US and you want either of the print books, you should use the Bandcamp links since Bandcamp can differentiate the shipping costs. See the Faerie Blood and Bone Walker pages for more details on that!

Anybody should, however, be able to use the Square store to order the ebooks from me. 🙂

Any questions, let me know!

Your friendly reminder: Faerie Blood and Bone Walker on sale

Since I’ve gotten quite a bit of surprising action this weekend on the Faerie Blood and Bone Walker sale, here’s an official post about that. And a big shoutout and thanks to userinfoandpuff, Tanya Huff, for signal boosting me! If you’re visiting my site because of her RT’ing me on Twitter, hi there and thank you for coming by!

So here’s what you need to know: both of my two indie-published novels, Faerie Blood and Bone Walker, Books 1 and 2 of the Free Court of Seattle urban fantasy series, are currently on sale in ebook form for 99 cents each. This sale was launched in honor of Orycon, which I just attended, and is also in honor of general Black Friday/Small Business Saturday/Cyber Monday/Please Everybody Buy Our Stuff Weekend. 😉

Both of these books are on sale on major ebook vending sites: Amazon, Nook, iTunes, Kobo, Google Play, and Smashwords. Note that on Smashwords in particular, the price is actually also “Reader Sets Price”, so while the suggested price there is currently 99 cents, you can actually set it to anything you like. (And a big shoutout and thanks to the reader who gave me five dollars for Faerie Blood, too!)

All the major links can be found on the Faerie Blood and Bone Walker pages. Look for the “Buy the Book” button in the top sections of each page.

You can also buy the ebooks directly from me at my Square storefront, where the 99 cent price is in effect as well.

Thanks to all who’ve spread the word, and if you’re a new reader picking up my stuff for the first time, thanks for your purchase and I hope you enjoy my stories!

Bone Walker, Faerie Blood

Time for another Faerie Blood and Bone Walker sale in honor of Orycon!

Dara and I are heading to Orycon in another couple of weeks! And as I’ve done at Norwescon and Worldcon this year, I’ll be contributing books to sell at the NIWA table.

WHICH MEANS: it’s time for another convention deal!

The ebooks of both Faerie Blood and Bone Walker are back on sale for 99 cents each. ALSO: since I’ll be doing this deal at the convention, I’ll extend it to online purchasers as well. Since the print copies of these two books normally sell for $15 each, if you buy them both together, you can have ’em for $25!

These prices are in effect until December 1st. Mostly this sale is in honor of Orycon, but also because Thanksgiving is coming up, so I thought hey, I’ll keep the sale going till Cyber Monday!

For the ebooks, the 99 price point is in effect now on all major platforms where I sell ebooks. Click over to the Faerie Blood or Bone Walker pages and hit the “Buy The Book” buttons to see the major places in question.

If you want the print editions, head over to my Square marketplace and click down to the ‘Paperbacks’ section. The bundle is the third option in that part of the page.

As always, shoot me questions if you have ’em! And spread the word!
